1017D Visual Design Lab.
At the 1017D Visual Design Laboratory, we value open and sincere forms of expression — capturing spontaneous images through lines, exploring emotions through colors, and seeking desired forms with our fingertips.
With Shiraku (※1) — “the joy of vision” — as its core theme, the lab explores the multidimensional possibilities of visual communication through flexible thinking, extending beyond paper-based, two-dimensional visual expressions. For instance, members actively take on challenges such as creating original product designs that make use of graphical elements.

A cheerful and mischievous troll named Banana lives in the lab. He loves chocolate and coffee, and tends to get lonely — so please give him some attention! He also serves as the administrator of the official website.
(※1) Shiraku is a coined term by Mizukawa, meaning “to entertain through visual perception.”
(※2) “Ba7 (Banana)” is the official website of the 1017D Visual Design Lab., Department of Architecture and Design, Faculty of Architecture and Design, Kyoritsu Women’s University. It serves as a platform for sharing everyday lab life, production diaries, seminar activity reports, recommended events, and even local gourmet spots in Jinbōchō — all in a free-spirited manner.
(※3) “Enzuan” is Mizukawa’s official website for his art and design studio, which he has been running since 2002.
1017Dビジュアルデザイン研究室では、ふと浮かんだイメージを線に残したり、感じたことを色で確かめたり、欲しい形を指先で探したりといった、大らかで楽しく、体温を感じる表情を大切にしています。
そして、視楽（※1）をテーマに、紙某体中心の平面的なビジュアル表現はもちろん、柔軟な発想でビジュアルコミュニケーションの可能性を多次元的に探求しており、例えばグラフィカルな要素を活かしたオリジナルプロダクトデザインなどにも積極的にチャレンジしています。
具体的な活動については、建築・デザイン学部オフィシャルサイト「ケンデバ」（※2）や1017D研究室オフィシャルサイト「バ7（バナナ）」（※3）、プライベートサイト「円図庵（えんずあん）」（※4）などにてご確認ください。
また、研究室には、明るくお調子者のトロル（troll）が住んでいて、バナナと呼ばれています。チョコレートとコーヒーが大好きな寂しがりやです。どうかかまってあげてください。オフィシャルサイトの管理人でもあります。
（※1） 視楽(しらく)とは「視覚を楽しむ」という意味の水川の造語。
（※2）「ケンデバ」とは、学内にて「建デ（ケンデ）」と呼ばれている共立女子大学 建築・デザイン学部が情報共有の場（バ）としているオフィシャルサイトです。共同アトリエの仲間達が、カフェで楽しく雑談をするような「オープンな場」をイメージしながら運用しています。サイトのアートディレクション、デザイン制作・管理、ロゴデザインなどを1017DビジュアルデザインLab.が担当しています。
（※3）「バ7（バナナ）」とは、共立女子大学 建築・デザイン学部デザインコース 1017DビジュアルデザインLab.が情報発信の場（バ）としているオフィシャルサイトです。Lab.での日常や制作日記、ゼミナールの活動報告、お勧めのイベントや神保町グルメなど、自由気ままに発信しています。

Born in 1967 in Chigasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Studied metal crafts (specializing in forged metal) in the Department of Crafts at Tokyo University of the Arts and completed a master’s degree. After graduation, worked as an interior designer at Ilya Inc. Later studied graphic design at Atelier Deska (Takashi Kono Design Office), and in 2002 founded Enzuan. Continues this work to the present day.

1967年に神奈川県茅ヶ崎市に生まれる。東京藝術大学工芸科（鍛金専攻）にて金属工芸を学び、修士課程修了後、株式会社イリアにてインテリアデザイナーとして勤務。その後、株式会社アトリエデスカ（河野鷹思デザイン事務所）にてグラフィックデザインを学び、2002年に円図庵を設立。現在に至る。
